Education has always been at the heart of Delta Sigma Theta. For more than a century, Delta women have believed in creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and build a future they can be proud of. The Slidell Alumnae Chapter carries that commitment into our local community through mentorship, youth development, college readiness, and educational support.

Delta GEMS

Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS (Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully): An institute for young women aged 14–18 (grades 9–12) focused on academic success, college and career planning, financial literacy, and leadership development.

EMBODI

EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence): A collaborative program designed to support African-American males aged 11–18 by addressing STEM education, leadership, self-efficacy, college readiness, and physical/mental health

Delta Academy

Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy: A mentoring and personal growth program for young girls aged 11–14 (grades 6–8), emphasizing science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), self-esteem, and service learning.
