Economic Development

Money affects almost every part of our lives, from where our children go to school to whether we can buy a home, prepare for retirement, or leave something behind for the next generation. That’s why economic development matters.

Through Financial Fortitude, Delta Sigma Theta’s national economic empowerment initiative, we focus on helping individuals and families build a stronger financial foundation. The program covers everything from setting financial goals and creating a budget to managing debt, saving and investing, preparing for retirement, homeownership, insurance, estate planning, and entrepreneurship.

The Slidell Alumnae Chapter brings those conversations into the community through financial education, workshops, and practical resources. Whether it’s learning how to build credit, prepare for homeownership, manage debt, or start planning for the future, our goal is simple: provide information and resources people can actually use.

Because building financial security starts with having the knowledge and support to make informed decisions.
